To all of my 'small' bloggy friends...

I loved this quote from a fellow 'small' blogger, overheard at the recent BlogHer event in NYC:

"I think maybe if you have a small blog you have a tendency to think it’s because you’re [too] lazy [to have a 'big' one,] but maybe it’s quite the opposite. Maybe your blog is small because you’re busy living. You’re throwing parties for your kids, but not so your blogging community is impressed by it. You’re living the life other people are just trying to document."

I loved this! (Stolen from It is Tuesday, right??)
I don't think there are 'small' blogs or 'small' bloggers... Just people living amazing lives that we are lucky enough to get a small window into.

Love you all!

  2. Thank you for sharing this. I love it and think there is some truth behind it. Not to take away from the 'big bloggers'. I often wonder how some of them find the time...anyway, I'm babbling. Thanks. That's really what I wanted to say! :)

@Katey, I'm flattered that you're flattered! LOL! Love your blog and I love red heads too! So much so that I try to imitate them every 6-8 weeks! LOL!

Hope you all can stop by Tuesday and view the pix, and enter if you'd like! :)

@Penny- I totally agree with you! Not trying to take away from the big bloggers- they are truly awesome! But sometimes it's nice to have some encouragement that you aren't crappy- just busy! :D

  7. Nice quote. I like having a small blog because then I can keep up with the people who read my blog and get to know them and their stories. Wow, you're getting to be pretty big with over 100 followers! Liked your pictures of Washington. I used to live there, too, in Bellevue and Pullman.

  9. Just popping by to say howdy! Yes, us "smallies" are the backbone of blogging life. The bigger ones are simply jealous of us.....errr.....yeah. ;D

  10. @Annie- I agree! It's easier to get to know people with smaller numbers. And I still consider myself small even with 100 followers. I consider myself lucky and blessed to have such great readers and to be able to follow so many awesome bloggers in return! :D

@Little Momma- you're very welcome my dear!

@Rich- LOL! I agree and love it! All shall be jealous in my presence! LOLOLOL! :D

  21. Beautifully put! Might it also be because "small" bloggers only speak when they really have something important to say? I don't mean that as a slight to big bloggers at all; just that there are people who only choose to comment when something has really made an impact on them. Maybe that's them.

  22. Thanks for sharing that. It can get a little intimidating thinking only about the fact that you have a "small" blog but you're right (or really that persons right...eh. you know what Im sayin). Its cause I'm living my ultra cool, extravagant life. Speaking of...my monkey is calling :o)

  23. So glad this post has bee so well received! I love all of my bloggy friends and it doesn't matter to me how 'big' or 'small' they are. And I love the big bloggers cause I don't know how they do it all! :)

But I have a special place in my heart for all of those guys and gals who take the time to post about amazing and wonderful and heartbreaking and heartfelt and beautiful things happening in their lives.

    I love you all!
Don't you change a thing. I love you just the way you are.

  25. Truthfully, I'm far from a punk rock mom, though I have owned Converse sneakers since I was about 12 years old (finding them less comfortable now that my feet changed post-pregnancies). However, I can appreciate that desire to be different; whether in personality, style or substance.

I love what you wrote about "small bloggers."
